Group Work Campers Return to Waterloo, Iowa!
For the third year in a row, IBC adults and teens will go to Waterloo, Iowa, to minister to the very poor, mainly through home improvement and renovation. Using a variety of skills, teams of workers from all over the US work together to make a difference in someone's life. It ministers in a tangible way to the poor, and it changes the hearts and lives of the workers. This year the camp will take place on July 19-25.
Reaching Out to Kenosha
Two ministries to Kenosha's poor are gaining steam as we head toward the summer. The IBC Community Outreach team has started a Friday night dinner and a movie at Frank Elementary School every month. Those from that inner city neighborhood are invited for a hot meal, a family movie, and good conversation and fellowship.
On Monday, May 4, IBC will begin another year of ministering to the homeless of our city in the gymnasium. We provide three meals and a mattress and clean sheets. Plans are also underway to provide in-house laundry. For more information, or for opportunities to serve, please contact Ragan Smith or Chris Reget.
Leadership Students Tackle High Adventure Camp
The Year One Leadership Institute Ladies class recently tackled the High Adventure Camp help at Covenant Harbor Bible Camp in Lake Geneva. They joined churches from the Reformed Church of America for three days of physical and spiritual challenge, with the application of principles learned in their first year of leadership training.
